ahore; 22 Oct:A DIVISION bench of the Lahore High Court on Thursday gave last chance to the Punjab government and the University of Health Sciences to file their replies on the petitions challenging various provisions of entrance test for admission to medical colleges of the province.
The bench headed by Justice Shahid Saeed ordered the respondents to file a reply by October 24, the next date of hearing.
On Thursday, an additional advocate general sought time to file the reply.
Petitioners, including Muhammad Zubair, Maqsood Ahmed Qureshi, Dr Shagufta Mubeen, Ms Robina Iqbal, Javaid Iqbal, Muhammad Khurshid and Samra Sagheer have filed their petitions through counsel Muhammad Azhar Siddique.
The counsel requested the court to issue directives to the authorities for ending the entrance test method for admission to the universities and collages to provide equal opportunities of education to the youths in accordance with the constitution.
