Admissions to the NED University of Engineering and Technology for the academic session 2012-13 will commence from August 27.
This was announced by the Registrar of the institution, Javed Aziz Khan, on Thursday.
He said that with the addition of 24 seats this year the total number of seats in the available 23 disciplines had arisen to 1,952.
Admission forms will be available from August 27 at the NED University branches of National Bank and Metropolitan Bank on payment of Rs1,800 per form.
The filled in admission forms can be deposited from September 3 to October 3.
Entry test would be conducted on October 6 at 10am at the NED University Campus.
Javed Khan further stated that there will be nine TCS centres for the issuance and receipt of admission forms in the interior of Sindh.
These centres are located in Sukkur (two), Hyderabad (two) and one each in Larkana, Khairpur, Mirpurkhas, Moro and Shaheed Benazirabad District (Nawabshah).
A fee of Rs350 would be charged at these centres for the dispatch of the admission forms, it was further stated.

Admissions - NED 2012 - 2013

Admission forms will be available from 27th August and can be submitted till October 3,2012.

Entry test will be held on October 6,2012 at NED Main Campus.

Passing marks for the Entry Test have been increased from 40 to 50.

This year,seats for Agha Khan Board and Cambridge University have also been increased.

Admission form and prospectus will be available at Rs 1800.

Eligibility For Admission




For admission, the applicant must have passed any of the following examinations in the year 2011 (but not before 2008):




HSC (Pre-Engineering) or equivalent foreign examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 60% aggregate marks.

HSC (Pre-Medical) or equivalent foreign examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 60% aggregate marks only for Bio Engineering, Medical Engineering and Food Engineering disciplines.

Additional Marks for Hafiz-e-Quran




For a Hafiz-e-Quran candidate 20 marks will be added in determination of merit. However, such candidates must apply in writing to the Registrar for additional marks along with the admission form enclosing certified copy of his/her certificate (sanad).




Pre-Admission Entry Test




The Pre-Admission Entry Test will be conducted at the NED University of Engineering and Technology (UED UET) campus. The date of pre-admission entry test will be announced later on the university website.




Prospectus and Application Form For Admission




The prospectus and application form for admission will be available from Monday, August 29, 2011 from the NED University of Engineering and Technology branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited against cash payment of Rs.1,700.




Candidates interested in applying for more than one category, have to submit separate application form for each additional category. Additional forms can be purchased for Rs.300 each.




Applications received by post/courier shall not be entertained. NED University of Engineering and Technology shall not entertain any references made through either verbal communication or telephonic conversation.




Application forms duly filled-in, completed in all respects and supported by all requisite documents shall be received in the Admission Center only of the University.




The last date for submission of application forms is Wednesday, September 28, 2011 by 1:00 pm.

NAT roll number slip is required at the test center before the test and no candidate can entertain in the test without roll number slip. The roll number slips are issued by the NTS (National Testing Service) before the test and being sent to the candidate by post. But usually many students cannot get their roll number slip in time because of poor postal system or mistakes in the address given by the candidate. So if you have not receive the roll number slip yet, the solution of the problem is to take a print of their roll number slip online.

If you got your original roll number slip by post then don’t print or bring your online printed rollnumber slip.

To get your roll number slip online for NAT tests of year 2012 follow the given below step:
